A windy stay at Beachport...

We had a 70th birthday to go to in Beachport on the 6th, so we hooked up Pearl and headed back to Beachport to stay the Saturday night...even though we’d just got back from Beachport of Wednesday, 3rd.

We were in the front beach caravan park.  It was very windy the whole time we stayed there...

The amenities were a long way away too but were clean and the showers were good and hot.  Because of the wind, we really didn’t make camp up outside.  We got battered with wind all weekend!

Dinner before we went to the 70th was toasted ham and cheese sandwiches.  They were providing supper at the party.

Next day, Gus set about installing a little table in Pearl.  We have a long white table for meals but this is more a happy hour table.

It is a lacquered chopping board that we bought from Zema Estate Wines at Coonawarra.  We then purchased the round fitting that it is screwed to (from Ultimate Campers).  It then sits on a pole in the floor.

Ta dah!  It is perfect and takes up less room that the other table.

Sunset...

Camp breakfast - egg and bacon sandwiches!  We stayed two nights in the end, heading home early Monday morning.  Beachport is only about 32kms from home...
