Postcards from Tasmania 12 Pt 2

Day 12 Thursday 22/09/16 To Cygnet
We headed for Huonville to get a few supplies then went out to a little place called Ranelagh where we found a bakery. We bought 2 sourdough sandwiches and headed for Cradoc.
On the way, we found the perfect spot to have a quick picnic by the Huon Rover...

Then it was time to head for Cygnet where our accomodation awaited. We had a bit of a look around Cygnet then we drove just out of town ...
This is The Writers Cottage at Frenchman's River...
A beautifully appointed cottage, styled to be a country getaway where you can cook, relax by the fire and generally unwind.

The kitchen was fully equipped and the fridge full of goodies. Fresh cured bacon, eggs from chooks just a few metres away, vegetables and herbs, cheeses, yoghurts, juice etc.

Dinner was in the fridge ready for heating. A pork sausage cassoulet with white beans, zucchini and tomato sauce with creamy mash. Dessert was a yummy rhubarb apple buttery crumble. All cooked by our host!

With dinner over, all we needed to do was sit fireside listening to some music. Divine!
Tomorrow we are off to Fat Pig Farm!
Cheers - Joolz xx
