These rock outcrops have been dated to 570-580 million years old. They are quite amazing. Especially those bumpy underside pieces which are totally different to the other rock... |

Day 3 Tuesday 3/10/17 Argadells to Brachina Gorge
Today we had toast and tea for breakfast then started
packing up. It takes a bit, depending on what we have around the camp. We each had a shower then the tent and mats
needs to dry out so time gets away easily. But the beauty of it is that we are in no hurry...
We left Argadells at 12 noon and went into Quorn for a
few things. We filled up with water at old mates servo. Good of him to let us
use his hose and water.
I bought fresh bread and had sliced up the rest of the
roast lamb from last night so we sat in the town playground in the shade and I
put together lamb and sauce sandwiches. Magnificent!
Then it was on to Brachina Gorge. We had booked campsite
1 at Brachina East. We arrived and it’s a good spot. Fairly dusty but shaded by
a big rocky outcrop. There are others just up from us in another camp.
We levelled Pearl out then once we popped her open, we
had the inside set up and bed made, within 15 minutes.
We’ll light the pig tonight and we have Thai Green curry
for dinner which I will prepare and Gus will cook outside. I also made flatbreads to go with it.
